Which waste types are accepted at Lincoln recycling centre?

Batteries, Books, Car batteries, Cardboard, Cooking oil, Fluorescent tubes/light bulbs, Food tins and drinks cans, Fridges and freezers, Garden waste, Gas bottles, Hardcore and rubble (one dustbin full per day), Household and garden chemicals, Mattresses, Mixed glass bottles and jars, Mixed textiles and clothes, Mobile phones, Paper, Plasterboard, Plastics, Printer cartridges, Scrap metal, Small appliances, Soil (one dustbin full per day), TVs and monitors, Used engine oil, Wood and timber, Household waste.

Which vehicles are not allowed at Lincoln recycling centre?

  • Any vehicle carrying commercial, business or trade waste.
  • Any vehicle which is more than 6 foot 6 inches high.
  • Flat-bed pick-ups.
  • Vans or trailers over 12ft x 6ft
  • Any van or trailer without a permit.

What are the site rules at Lincoln recycling centre?

You must take proof that you are a Lincolnshire resident and your booking confirmation.

Site staff will instruct you when it is time to unload your waste. Until then, remain in your car with the windows closed.

Unless exempt, you must wear a face mask and keep a 2-metre distance from other site users.

Only 2 people per household are allowed to leave their vehicle whilst visiting Lincoln recycling centre.

You must be capable of unloading your own waste as site staff are unable to provide assistance.

People who are unable to unload their own waste must be accompanied by a person who is able to help them.

There is no access to toilets or any facility other than waste disposal whilst on site.

There is zero tolerance on the abuse of site staff. They must be respected at all times and their instructions must be followed.
